Posadas, Misiones Argentina Engagement Session – Tatiana & Leo

It's Friday!!! Weather isn't all that great here in Jersey but hopefully this post will brighten things up a bit.
A few months ago we had the opportunity to teach a 3 Day Photography Workshop in Posadas Misiones, Argentina. It was our first official workshop with over 15 students and I have to say it was a HUGE SUCCESS!!! On one of the days we taught how to work with couples. Making them feel comfortable, bringing out the best in their personalities and relationship all while applying the natural lighting techniques we went over on the previous days. So to keep things as real as possible we wanted to find a couple who had never been photographed before.
Enter Tatiana & Leo!!!
Currently living in Argentina; Tatiana found us though a friend of a friend and she was willing to come and spend a few days with us to have some portraits taken. At that time, her boyfriend Leo came as well to keep her company. Little did he know that our previous couple couldn't make it and we were going to try and convince him to take part in the couple portion of the workshop with Tatiana. Caught completely off guard he was nice enough to be up for it. Talk about spontaneous!! I figured this would be a true challenge for all of us since:
1. We had never met them before.
2. They had never been photographed before.
3. The guys are usually the ones less excited about engagement sessions and he had no clue he was even going to be part of it.
and 4. There were going to be over 15 people there with big cameras and all this equipment.
We went out to a nearby park and started the session. I usually talk to our couples while were shooting and thats what we were showing our students while giving each of them the opportunity to interact with the couple, pose them and take a few shots. I was excited to spend the majority of the time checking with each student, answering questions, and talking to Tatiana & Leo. However I did manage to snap a few shots of my own.
Now that we're back in the US we had the opportunity to get some of these blogs up. Little did I know that during this time, Tatiana & Leo got Engaged!!! Honestly, their love was clear as water on that day as you'll see and we're so happy for them and their future!!

Hace unos meses tuvimos la oportunidad de enseñar a un Taller de Fotografía de 3 días en Posadas Misiones, Argentina. Fue nuestro primer taller oficial con más de 15 estudiantes y tengo que decir que fue un GRAN EXITO!! En uno de los días, queríamos enseñar cómo trabajar con las parejas. Cómo hacer que se sientan cómodos, sacar lo mejor de sus personalidades y relación mientras aplicamos las técnicas de iluminación que habíamos repasado en los días anteriores. Así que para mantener las cosas lo más real posible queríamos encontrar una pareja que nunca había sido fotografiado antes.
Permítanme presentarles a Tatiana y Leo!!!
Actualmente viviendo en Argentina ; Tatiana nos encontró a través de un amigo de un amigo y ella estaba dispuesta a venir a pasar unos días con nosotros para tomarse unos retratos. Su novio Leo llegó a hacerle compañía. Poco sabía que nuestra pareja anterior no pudo venir y yo iba a tratar de convencerlo a tomar parte en la sesión de parejas con Tatiana. Sin darse cuenta de lo que iba a pasar ese día, él estaba dispuesto a ayudarnos.
Pensé que esto sería un verdadero desafío para todos nosotros porque:
1 . Nunca nos habíamos visto antes .
2 . Nunca habían sido fotografiados antes.
3. Los chicos suelen ser menos entusiasmados con sesiones de compromiso y no tenía ni idea que iba hacer parte en una.
y 4 . Iba a haber más de 15 personas allí con grandes cámaras y equipos.
Así que nos fuimos a un parque cercano y comenzó la sesión. Yo suelo hablar a nuestras parejas mientras estábamos filmando y eso es lo que estábamos mostrando a nuestros estudiantes. También les dimos a cada estudiante la oportunidad de interactuar con la pareja, posar y tomar unas cuantas fotos. Yo estaba emocionado de pasar la mayor parte del tiempo revisando cada estudiante, respondiendo preguntas y hablando con Tatiana y Leo. Pero me las arreglé para tomar una cuantas fotos también.
Ahora que estamos de vuelta en los EE.UU. hemos tenido la oportunidad de compartir algunos de estos blogs. Yo no sabía que durante este tiempo, Tatiana y Leo se comprometieron! Sinceramente, su amor era claro ese día y estamos muy contentos por ellos y su futuro!
